Almanac opened in 2019 with a single conviction: that the most interesting cooking happens when you follow what is growing rather than deciding in advance what to serve.
Our menu changes week by week, guided by growers from Hackney, Kent, and beyond. We work with a small number of producers whose methods we trust and whose produce we are proud to cook with.

Reservations are available for parties of 2 to 10. Walk-ins are welcome at the bar. We recommend booking at least a week ahead for weekend evenings.

Always, at the bar. We keep the eight bar stools back for walk-ins every service and they are first come, first served from six.
Yes. Tell us when you book and the kitchen will have it in front of them on the night. The menu is fully vegan, so most dietary requirements are already covered.
No. Come as you are.
The dining room takes tables up to ten. For anything larger the whole room can be hired on a Sunday evening, which sits sixteen comfortably. Email us and we will send the details.
Just let us know by the morning of the booking. There is no card held and no fee, we would simply rather give the table to someone else than leave it empty.
